9th Annual DFW LAO GOLF Tournament: 2012 Thai/Lao New Year Here is some information in regards to our New Year Golf Tournament. It is a work in progress. We hope to have an even better tournament this year. We have also made some changes to make it fair/fun for everyone. Everyone will leave with a gift and we will have a lot of prizes to give away. Date: Sat, Apr 21, 2012; 1:00PM Shotgun Deadline: Apr 14, 2012 ; 12:00 Maximum Players: 60 Cost $100.00/per player Payments can be mail to: DFW Lao Golf 919 Wise St Keller, TX 76248 Paypal/credit card payments at DFWLAOGOLF.com Course: Texas Sta Golf Course: Format: Two man best ball Team Flight: A & B Max HCP: Flight A: 10; Flight B: 20; Flight C: 36.4 Calculation of Team Handicap (rounded to nearest whole number)= Ratio of lower handicap over higher handicap; Ratio multiply by 5; subtract result from lowest team member's handicap (Choose your handicaps carefully; see Best Score rule example below). A BEST SCORE RULE/CAP will be in affected. A team in Flights B and C will occur in the event that the team score - team handicap is 4 strokes or more below par. There will be no adjustment for Flight A teams. Example of Best Score Rule: If Team Texas Member #1 HCP is 12 and Team Texas Member #2 HCP is19. Take the ratio of 12/19 =0.63; multiple 5 X 0.63 (Ratio) =3.15; 12 - 3.15 = 8.85 (rounded to 9.0) Team HCP Flights B and C (only). Therefore, Team Texas can only have a best score of 78. If Team Texas turns in a score card of 76, then the score will be adjusted to 78 based on the handicaps provided. We will pay prize money to 1st , 2nd , 3rd, 4th, and 5th place teams for each flight A & B (Gross scores only). Your team handicap is used to place a team into the appropriate flight. Best Score Rule of a team in Flights B and C will occur in the event that the team score team handicap is 4 strokes or more below par. Side Contests: Long Drive and Nearest to the pin for each flight Mulligan: No. Prizes: Cash, Trophies, Giveaways, Prizes, Hole in One Prize Banquet at the Golf Course (Guest admittance available at an extra $10 charge) All prizes money, trophies, and giveaways will be presented at Golf Course. All nonmember teams are eligible for trophies, contests, giveaways and prize money (for this event only). The total prize money is dependent on the number of participating teams (i.e., more teams equals more prize money).
